We are delighted to announce that New Chapter Primary School became an academy and part of the Milton Keynes Education Trust on 1 January 2013.
New Chapter Primary School admits children between the ages of 4 and 11, which is Reception to Year 6. The school building was originally opened in 1974 as Copperfield Middle School but was modernised, redecorated and re-furbished when it became New Chapter Primary School after the amalgamation with Cornhill First School in April 2004.
It is a large building, part of which is two storey and is situated in extensive grounds surrounded by a secure perimeter fence. There is an extensive playing field, an adventure playground and two playgrounds marked out with sports lines.
The school consists of twelve classrooms and a large Foundation Stage room, with a safe outside play area. There is also a library, ICT suite, music/TV room, hall, dining room, medical room and an administration area. There are cloakroom and toilet facilities on each floor and two disabled toilets, one with a shower. There are also two modernised changing rooms, with toilets and drinking fountains, which are accessible from both inside and outside.
